Taste
Pale straw
Fresh, herbal. Rubbed peppermint leaves, stemmy, damp grass, smoky. Oily, cigar leaves, smoked ham, hickory. Lemon peels at the harbour
Drinks well at natural strength; sweet start; pleasant, light fragrant smokiness and a lengthy finish
Sweet smokiness in the lingering, slightly sour finish
Why Do We Love This?
A quarter-bottle of Caol Ila 12yo, equally at home in golf bags, on winter walks or during wet weekends at the seaside. This 12 year old is the entry level bottling from the Caol Ila distillery, launched in June of 2002 this expression is light and fresh with that distinctive Caol Ila smoke.
