VINEYARDS

Carlo Rossi Red Moscato is prized for its crisp texture and refreshing mouthfeel. Carlo Rossi winemakers have successfully cultivated Moscato grapes in specially selected California vineyards for years. These vineyards tend to be planted inland where the grapes benefit from a long season on the vine. This leisurely growing season combined with the signature warm days and cool nights of California allow the grapes to collect plenty of natural flavour and character on the vine.

HARVEST

A third dry winter and a warm growing season lead to vine canopies that allowed for dappled light to reach the fruit. An early bud break was followed by early sugar maturity and an early start to harvest. The Carlo Rossi team of grape growers and wine makers invite you enjoy the fruits of the vineyard and this fine product of the 2015 harvest.

WINEMAKING

The grapes for Carlo Rossi Red Moscato were harvested at optimum ripeness, which led to easy extraction of rich colour and velvety tannins from the fruit. Winemakers employed a warm fermentation process, which has resulted in a wine with more pronounced flavours and fruitier aromatics. Proper storage after fermentation has allowed the wine the build complexity and balance.
