Why Do We Love This?
Château Marcadis is situated on the plateau of Lalande de Pomerol, between Libourne and Saint-Emilion. The vineyard covers 21 hectares. The vines were planted in the 1960's. The terroir of the Château is very qualitative. It is consists of sand and gravels. At the beginning of the 1990's, the cellar has been equipped with mordern equipment such as temperature control and new system to receive the harvest. The objective of these investments is to produce the best wine possible. Thanks to an exceptional terroir and a unique know-how, Château Marcadis produces a fine and elegant wine, with a great aromatic complexity.
The 2018 vintage is characterized by a garnet colour, sustained and brilliant, with purple nuances.
Its nose, fruity spicy and complex, offers aromas of blueberries and coffee. On the palate, this wine is ample, balanced and persistent with notes of plum jam and mocha.
