Why Do We Love This?

Château Moulin de la Faye is a beautiful estate, built in the XVIIth century by the Lestelle family. One of the most famous owner of the Château was Mr Antoine de Bouîre de Beauvallon, Prosecutor of the king in the Parliament of Bordeaux. At the end of the XIXth century, the estate is bought by the Gaboriaud de Latour family. In 1973, Château Moulin de la Faye is acquired by the Ponton d'Amécourt, an old family from the Marne region. The new owners have restructured the vineyard and renovated the Château. Located at 95 metres in height, the Château takes its name from his panorama. It offers a "beautiful view" on the landscape. The terroir of the estate consists mainly of white clay. This very qualitative terroir, named "terrefort", gives all their character to the wines of Château Moulin de la Faye. Thanks to an exceptional terroir, a unique know-how and a great care, this Château develops a quality wine with complexity.

Château Moulin de la Faye 2017 offers a beautiful purple colour. The nose is powerful and expressive. There are overripe red fruit aromas complemented by a slightly woody notes. The mouth is rich, generous and well-balanced with ripe, velvety tannins. You may find a good aromatic persistence in this wine.
