Originally introduced in 1969, Cockburn’s Special Reservebridged the gap between vintage ports and their youngercounterparts, creating an approachable yet complex newport category.Produced from wines selected for their richness andconcentration from the finest vineyards in the UpperDouro, Special Reserve is matured in oak casks for fiveyears before being bottled. This longer wood-ageinggives its fruity, full-bodied palate a distinctive dry finish,making it the benchmark for all Reserve Ports.
