Fresh citrus and stone fruit with great acid line. This wine shows why the Yarra Valley is one of the world’s premiere Chardonnay regions.
Fruit from Handpicked’s Highbow Hill Vineyard near Dixons Creek
in the hilly northern reaches of the region and a parcel from Coldstream on the lower valley floor make
this a truly regional style of wine. Established vineyards with mature vines produce fruit with good complexity of flavour. The soils are sandy loam over clay and gravel over Yarra Valley mudstone. The Yarra Valley is a cool climate wine growing region with relatively cool and dry summers; most rainfall occurs in winter and spring.
With fruit from select vineyards, this is a true regional Yarra Valley Chardonnay. It has fresh citrus and stone fruit aromas with bright fruit on the palate, creamy texture and a clean finish.
