Why Do We Love This?
The fruit is from two vineyards to the north of the region,including Handpicked’s flagship Capella Vineyard. Thefruit was hand-picked and chilled overnight before beingdestemmed and sorted by hand. The must was fermentedin small open fermenters with hand plunging. The winewas matured for 11 months in a mix of old and new Frenchoak barrels from selected Burgundian coopers.
A medium-bodied wine with bright cherry flavours andsilky-smooth tannin. It has excellent depth of colour andflavour with a touch of spicy oak complexity.
